Estero Adventure / Dolphin Watch
Our narrated half-hour tour of Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve features local history, finding and identifying birds, dolphins, turtles, manatees and explaining the ecology of estuarine systems.

In Search of the Green Flash / Sunset Cruise
Relax on a wine and cheese sunset cruise of Estero Bay and watch for the Green Flash, a natural phenomenon that occurs when certain atmospheric conditions exist causing a green glow in the sky. Recommended for adults only.

Shelling Cruise
Relax on the beach at beautiful Lover’s Key State Park or comb the white sand for a variety of Florida shells. As you cruise to the beach aboard the Nautilus vessel, enjoy a narrated eco-tour and soak up the sun. Shelling cruise departure times vary throughout the year. The trip is approximately 1½ - 2 hours.

Dinner Cruise
Enjoy an exclusive dining experience at a private club or restaurant on the water, and learn all about Southwest Florida along the way. A narrated eco-tour explains the wildlife and vegetation you will spot as the boat ventures into mangrove trees and explores the area.

Private Charter Sailing
Charter sailing adventures include a half day or overnight excursion aboard a crewed yacht charter with activities like sightseeing, shelling excursions, or lunch / dinner cruises. Moonlight Paddle
Experienced paddlers can travel beneath the night sky on a 9-mile, 3½ hour tour through the beautiful rivers of Estero Bay. There is also a half way turn around stop for those who prefer to be escorted back to the docks.

Scuba Diving Instruction and Excursions
On a scuba diving excursion, you will experience a whole new world of marine life below the surface of pristine waters. Swim among hundreds of species of marine life for the adventure of a lifetime.

Parasailing
View the breathtaking coastline of the Gulf of Mexico from 600 to 1,200 feet above. Fly through the skies and experience a free fall dip into the water below.

Water Skiing
Enjoy two ski, slalom, knee-boarding, wakeboarding, barefoot or tubing in a fresh-water lake along a sugar sand beach or in the back bays & inland waterways among the mangroves.

Beginners or advanced enthusiasts are welcome. Equipment, instruction and ski disciplines are included from a team of professional, competitive, recreational and experienced instructors. Half or full day charters are available.

Offshore Fishing
Gather your private group for a half or full day charter fishing experience, where your catch may include a variety of shark, grouper, cobia, barracuda, mackerel, amberjack, jewfish, permit, pompano, snapper, and many more. Enjoy beautiful views of real estate, white sandy beaches, and blue serene waters as you make your way to the Gulf of Mexico aboard a 45’ vessel.

Big Hickory Island Beach
Just a quarter-mile from the resort’s Lagoon Pool is a shuttle that takes you to the marina for a 15-minute boat ride to Big Hickory Island Beach, a secluded beach on the Gulf of Mexico. You might even spot dolphins and manatees along the way. Chairs and umbrellas are available at the beach, and keys to the solar powered restroom may be obtained from the boat crew. Big Hickory Island is a protected conservation area for shorebirds, Loggerhead sea turtles and other indigenous vegetation. Schedule changes may occur due to tidal levels or extreme weather conditions. Confirm daily departure times with the concierge.

Everglades Wonder Gardens
Enjoy botanical gardens with trees from around the world, a large collection of Florida wildlife, more than 2,000 exotic birds, panthers, alligators, flamingos and bears.

Everglades National Park
Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The area boasts rare and endangered species, such as the American crocodile, Florida panther, and West Indian manatee.

Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park
One of the last undeveloped barrier islands on Florida's southwest coast, this park is 342 acres of natural land. Enjoy the natural surroundings and seek out the numerous animal species that reside there. Swimming is safe, and beach access is by boardwalk. 8,200 feet of beach and sand dunes with seat oats provide nesting sites for sea turtles during the summer months. Park Rangers offer a number of programs, including lectures and interpretive programs to educate the public about the importance of the environment and wildlife in Southwest Florida. The park has a butterfly garden, a one-mile nature trail, showers, a picnic area and a concession area.

Bird Watching
Explore our conservation preserve, Estero Bay and Big Hickory Island in search of great egrets, blue herons, osprey and other native species.

Lover's Key State Recreation Area
This two-mile beach is accessible by boardwalk or tram and is popular for shelling, swimming, picnicking and sunbathing. The area is home to West Indian manatees, bottlenose dolphins, roseate spoonbills, marsh rabbits and bald eagles.

Clam Pass County Park
Explore the 35 acres of mangrove forest, coastal dunes and 3,200 linear feet of beach on the Gulf of Mexico at Clam Pass County Park.

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area
This park's mile-long stretch of white sugar sand has been rated as one of the best beaches in the nation. The beach is popular for sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, snorkeling, and picnicking.

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens
Enjoy a full day of fun activities in the zoo’s tropical setting. A paved path winds past rare animals residing in a jungle of exotic plants.

Ft. Myers Historical Museum
Housed in the former Atlantic Coastline Railroad depot, the museum is home to the history of Southwest Florida. Paleo Indians, the Calusa, the Seminoles, Spanish explorers, and early settlers are just a few of the people you will meet as you view the exhibits. An authentic replica of a pioneer "cracker" house, a 1926 La France fire pumper, and a 1929 private Pullman rail car are also part of the tour.

The Mound House: A Cultural & Environmental Learning Center
The Mound House is the oldest surviving home (ca. 1906-21) on Ft. Myers Beach built on a Calusa mound overlooking Estero Bay.

The train winds north toward Punta Gorda on its three-and-a-half-hour trek, crossing the scenic Caloosahatchee River and the Intercoastal Waterway.
