green initiatives
at hyatt, “going green” isn’t just a cliché — it’s a commitment.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recently was awarded Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa its Three Palm Certification status as a Florida Green Lodge, the first Florida resort and spa to achieve such an honor. The certification recognizes our hotel’s commitment to being environmentally friendly.
Launched in March 2004, the Florida Green Lodging Certification Program establishes environmental guidelines for hotels and motels to conserve natural resources and prevent pollution. Hotel and motels reduce costs and earn designation by investing in simple and innovative ‘green’ practices that conserve water, save energy and reduce waste.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point has been a leader in environmental sustainability since its initial One Palm Certification in 2004. Our Florida resort spa has made significant improvements over the last five years to qualify as the first and only Three Palm Green Hotel in the state.
