enjoy the sun, sand and surf at our bayfront luxury hotel.

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa is located just minutes from some of Florida’s finest white sand beaches. Our Bonita Springs Hyatt hotel offers easy access to the following public beaches:

Big Hickory Island Beach
Pick up a beach towel and sun screen from the Poolside Recreational Desk or Stillwater Spa, and grab a snack from The Kofe Nut. A boardwalk just a quarter mile from the resort’s Lagoon Pool leads to a Guest Services shuttle that takes you to the Marina. Friendly Captains and First Mates will ensure a safe and pleasurable15 minute boat ride to Big Hickory Island Beach, a secluded beach on the Gulf of Mexico. You might even spot dolphins and manatees along the way.

Chairs and umbrellas are available at the beach, and keys to the solar powered restroom may be obtained from the boat crew. Big Hickory Island is a protected conservation area for shorebirds, Loggerhead Sea turtles and other indigenous vegetation. Conservation Rangers will be able to answer all your eco-questions.

Schedule changes may occur due to tidal levels or extreme weather conditions. Please confirm daily departure times with the Concierge. The Shuttle departs daily from the hotel at 45 minutes past the hour between 9:00a.m. and 2:00p.m., returning from the beach at 15 after the hour beginning at 10:00a.m.

Bonita Beach
Catch the sunset from this shell-strewn beach, where the setting sun reflects off pink and coral-hued sea life to create a magical visual display. Should you decide a swim is in order, a county-run park at one end of the beach offers showers as well as picnic areas and grills.

Barefoot Beach
Located on the same land mass (Little Hickory Island) as Bonita Beach, Barefoot Beach is home to a nature preserve offering activities ranging from guided canoe trips to presentations on preserving one of Florida’s greatest creatures, the sea turtle.

Dog Beach
If you’re traveling with your four-legged friend, visit the aptly-named “Dog Beach,” one of the few pet-friendly beaches in the area. Dog Beach (more of a large sandbar, really) is located on the north shore of New Pass. Arrive early, as Dog Beach grows crowded on weekends.
